Tommy Michael Holloway, 77, of Oneonta, AL, was born on June 16, 1948, and passed away on March 31, 2026, at Hanceville Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. He was a graduate of Minor High School and the University of Montevallo. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was an active member of Lester Memorial Methodist Church in Oneonta for 25 years. He retired from U.S. Steel in 2000 after a long career.
Tommy’s journey on this earth was marked by his love to laugh, compassion and kindness to everyone he encountered and his faith in God. He served on the Blount County Children’s Advocacy Center board of directors for eight years to help others less fortunate. Tommy was an avid golfer and fisherman especially around the Limestone Springs neighborhood.
Tommy is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Moody Holloway; four children, Heidi Holloway of Jasper, Kimberly Manning of Kimberly, Andrew Michael Holloway of Jasper, and Christopher Ormond of Kimberly; Grandchildren, Hannah Holloway, Tyler Mulford (Eme), Baylee Mulford, Carter Ormond, and Collier Ormond; Great Grandchildren, Xander Holloway, Charlee Shores, Emmett Shores, and Tate Mulford; and his Brothers, Terry Holloway (Susan), and Steve Holloway (Faith Ann).
Tommy was preceded in death by his father, J. T. Holloway Jr; mothers, Rosalie Holloway, and Imogene Holloway; and his sister, Dorothy Ann Holloway.
The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Hanceville Funeral Home at 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., on Saturday, April 4th, with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Union Hill Cemetery, Hanceville, AL.
