There is a free mobile app called AirScope that is available on IOS and Android. The app provides the user with insight on pollen levels and air quality. If you suffer from allergies and never know what to expect, AirScope shows you air quality, pollution data, daily pollen counts and weather within its five-day forecasts.

As I am writing this on March 28, 2026, it advises me that there is a “Red Flag Warning.” This was issued today at 8:13 a.m. until 7 p.m. Central Standard Time by US National Weather Service Huntsville Alabama. It gives the areas affected, wind speed, humidity and more.

The pollen levels show that grass and weed pollen are at 0 grains per cubic meter. Though tree pollen is 2,250 grains per cubic meter and mold spores are 3,250 grains.

If you click on the level itself it shows a description of the source and what symptoms are shown from exposure to it. For mold spores It advises that they peak throughout warmer months since humidity is where they thrive.

“Originating from fungi and found both indoors and outdoors, mold spores thrive in damn, humid environments like bathrooms, basements and piles of fallen leaves.”

Mold spores can cause sneezing, coughing, wheezing and a runny nose just as tree pollen can. Today tree pollen is ranked at “very high,” mainly coming from juniper, maple and elm trees.

This can aid individuals with respiratory conditions or anyone interested in understanding air quality. There is also a daily log for individuals to make note of their symptoms to potentially uncover health symptoms that are triggered by certain environmental causes.
