HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Wallace State Singers invite the community to take a musical journey across the United States with “The Great American Road Trip,” presented March 27–29. Inspired by the nation’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday, the concert offers a fun and nostalgic evening of music that highlights the places, people and moments that define the American experience.
“This year’s show is all about celebrating the music that has shaped our country and the memories we associate with it,” said Tiffany Richter, director of the Wallace State Singers. “From classic hits to modern favorites, every song on this program represents a stop along the great American journey. We hope audiences will feel the joy, nostalgia and sense of connection that only music can inspire.”
The program features a mix of country, pop, oldies and rock ’n’ roll, with music made famous by iconic artists including Elvis Presley, the Eagles, the Beach Boys and Alabama.
Adding to the excitement, the Singers will be joined on stage by the Junior Singers from Heirlooms Fine and Performing Arts, making the performance a celebration of both music and community. The result is an energetic, feel-good night filled with favorite American songs and stories that audiences of all ages will recognize and enjoy.
The Great American Road Trip will be performed at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, March 27–28 and at 2 p.m. on March 29 at the Betty Leeth Haynes Theatre.
