A memorial service for Edna Washington Leeth, 74, of Hanceville will be 1 p.m. Saturday March 7th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Edna Washington Leeth, born on November 21, 1951, peacefully passed away on February 25, 2026. She was born to the late Elder Lee Washington and Celesta Weeden Washington.
On December 27, 1970, Edna was united in marriage to the late Larry Eugene Leeth, Sr.. From this loving union, three children were born: the late Larry Eugene Leeth, Jr., Margerita Leeth Rolfsen (Robert), and Mary Leeth Woods (Jill).
Edna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son, and three brothers and one sister.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving daughters; her four grandchildren, Matthew Rolfsen, Julie Rolfsen, Jonathan Woods, and Jazymn Woods; her siblings, Jimmy Washington, Lonnie Washington, Billy Washington, Margie Smith, Sally Debose, Gwen Malcom, and Rosetta Isaac; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Edna devoted her professional life to caring for others through her work as a nurse. With compassion, patience, and a servant’s heart, she provided comfort and healing to those entrusted to her care, viewing her work not just as a profession, but as a calling to serve.
Edna will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her deep love for Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading the message of His love to everyone she met.
