Cullman Police: Joint operation leads to 5 human trafficking arrests

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Police Department last week, in conjunction with Cullman County District Attorney Champ Crocker and Covenant Rescue Group, “conducted a proactive child exploitation operation aimed at identifying and apprehending individuals seeking to prey on children,” according to the CPD.

The department said five individuals were arrested as a result of the operation.

Trevan Levan Jefferson, 35, of Killen, Texas

  • 2 counts of first-degree human trafficking
  • 1 count of electronic solicitation of a child
  • 1 count of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act

Ian Grae Carroll, 29, of Somerville, Alabama

  • 2 counts of first-degree human trafficking
  • 1 count of electronic solicitation of a child
  • 1 count of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act
  • 1 count of possession of unlawful hemp products

Rodrigo Uriel Hernandez, 25, of Maylene, Alabama

  • 2 counts of first-degree human trafficking
  • 1 count of electronic solicitation of a child
  • 1 count of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act

Timothy James Armstrong, 37, of Hamilton, Alabama

  • 2 counts of first-degree human trafficking
  • 1 count of electronic solicitation of a child
  • 1 count of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act

Adrian Neal Horton, 35, of Toney, Alabama

  • 2 counts of first-degree human trafficking
  • 1 count of electronic solicitation of a child
  • 1 count of traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act

Cullman Police Chief Joey Duncan said, “We are grateful for the strong partnership with District Attorney Champ Crocker and Covenant Rescue Group. Their dedication and collaboration are instrumental in ensuring that those who target children for immoral and criminal purposes are held accountable.”

Said the CPD, “The Cullman Police Department remains committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community and will continue to aggressively pursue those who seek to harm our children.”
