CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Museum will debut a new fall exhibition Friday, Sept. 18, from 6-8 p.m. Prost to the Past! will honor Cullman’s history and traditions, just in time for Oktoberfest, which will take Place Oct. 1-4 at Depot Park next door.
Cullman County Museum Director Molly Bloom, who was appointed in May, exclaimed, “I’ve been planning a fall exhibition, and I came up with it within like the first couple weeks of being here. It goes along with Oktoberfest and I wanted to bring a new element to that, which is the history of why Oktoberfest is important to Cullman.”
This exhibition will showcase the history of immigration in the area and honor Cullman’s founding. Bloom said, “Kind of just about how we got here, why we got here; then, it goes into the history of Oktoberfest and then it talks about the past Oktoberfest and present. It gives a really great overview of all of our history.”
Attendees can expect a brand new exhibition downstairs and a fall exhibition upstairs. “You’ll be able to come in, grab a drink, have some refreshments and be able to stroll around and look at our new exhibits,” she said.
The Museum posted: “Enjoy a Sip & Stroll-style evening as you tour the museum, explore the new exhibits, and discover stories from the past. Mingle with friends, meet fellow history lovers, and enjoy music and refreshments as you stroll through the galleries at your own pace.
