Carthel Allen Morgan, a beloved and devoted individual, passed away on February 3, 2026, at the age of 63. Born on January 6, 1963, Carthel was a resident of Hanceville, Alabama, where he was known for his humorous, hard-working, honest, and loyal nature.
Carthel is survived by his devoted wife, Virginia Darlene Morgan, his daughter, Shauna Aderhold (Tarita Fields), and his son, Alex Morgan. He is also remembered by his sisters, Diane Morgan and Norma Jean Horton, and his brother, Charles Morgan. Carthel was a cherished grandfather to three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carthel Leon and Gertrude Banks Morgan.
In his professional life, Carthel was dedicated to his work in finishing concrete. Beyond his career, he found joy in the company of his family and friends, treasuring the time spent with them. Carthel will be fondly remembered for his humor and the deep love he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren.
A graveside committal service will be held at Fairview West Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Hanceville, Alabama, on February 10, 2026, from 2 p.m.
