CULLMAN, Ala. – According to the Cullman Police Department, a registered sex offender was arrested Jan. 1, 2026, at the Cullman Housing Authority following a tip that he was staying at an address on Logan Avenue under an assumed name.
Myron Clifton Marsh Jr., 61, was arrested by Sgt. Rob Long and Officer Joey Williams. The CPD said Marsh had three active failure to appear (FTA) warrants related to violations of the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (SORNA), as well as one FTA warrant for harassment. During the arrest, Marsh was also charged with resisting arrest.
The CPD said the arrest stemmed from a tip received from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office indicating that Marsh was staying at an address on Logan Avenue under an assumed name.
“The Cullman Police Department appreciates the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office for their continued partnership in protecting our children and helping make Cullman County a safer place. We also appreciate the hard work and professionalism of Sgt. Long and Officer Williams,” said a statement from the CPD.
