CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Bosom Buddies Foundation was founded 12 years ago to support local cancer patients. The nonprofit is supported by annual fundraising events and donations.

Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation President  Jennifer Limerick said one of the most meaningful moments of 2025 was raising funds at the group’s signature event, the Little Pink Dress benefit.

“Seeing our community come together — especially the overwhelming support from local businesses who generously donated auction items — was truly inspiring,” she said. “Each contribution, bid and act of kindness reflected the heart of Cullman County and strengthened our mission to support those affected by all types of cancer. Little Pink Dress was more than a fundraiser; it was a reminder of the power of community and compassion working together.”

Limerick said the plan for 2026 is to have another successful Little Pink Dress fundraising event.

“It’s our most favorite event, and to be honest, it takes all year long to plan and prepare for the event to be successful,” she explained. “Other businesses do smaller fundraising events that we attend, but at this time we don’t have any other events planned for 2026.”

Limerick said every dollar raised goes to help Cullman County residents in active cancer treatment with basic living expenses such as food, gas and utilities.

“We help with medical bills, rent, mortgages and, on special occasions, auto repair, heat, air, etc., anything that will help the patient be more comfortable and have the ability to get to and from their treatments,” she said. “We have an outreach program for breast cancer patients where we provide them with a bag of essentials needed for their recovery. We will gladly take donations for those bags. Items we collect are all new items such as bras, knitted breast forms, socks, blankets, note pads, pens, magazines, adult coloring books, gel pens, coloring pencils, crossword puzzles, word search, seat belt covers and small soft pillows.”

You can donate all year long in any amount by mailing it to Cullman County Bosom Buddies Foundation, PO Box 123, Vinemont, AL 35179, or dropping by Options Wigs & Accessories at 2201 Second Ave. NW (U.S. Highway 31) Cullman AL 35058.

“We are welcoming volunteers. They can contact us through our Facebook page and anyone wanting to do fundraisers for CCBBF would be greatly appreciated,” Limerick said.
