Ruth Keevan, a cherished resident of Cullman, Alabama, departed this life on December 3, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on May 7, 1937, Ruth was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Ruth is survived by her devoted daughters, Regina (Roy) Cruz and Anita (Rich) Tapia. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Vanessa (Jason) Mielzynski, Victoria Tapia, Brian Cruz, Frank (Megan) Tapia, and Rachel Cruz, as well as her great-grandchildren, Miaya, Emily, Olivia, Maximus, Avery, and Josiah. She is also remembered by her sister, Joyce Strickland Thompson.
Ruth was predeceased by her loving husband, John Keevan, her parents, Marnise and Nora Williams, her brothers, Bill “Bee” Williams, Bob Williams, Jake Williams, Eddie Williams, Howard Williams, Richard Williams, and Charles Williams, and her sisters, Nellie Hood and Willa Faulkner.
A visitation will be held at Moss-Service Funeral Home, located at 1901 2nd Ave North West, Cullman, AL 35055-5827, on December 8, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the same venue on December 9, 2025, from 10 a.m. The committal service will take place at Center Hill Cemetery, 28710 AL-91, Hanceville, AL 35077, on the same day.
Pallbearers honoring Ruth’s memory are Brian Cruz, Frank Tapia, Roy Cruz, Ricky Williams, Austin Swann, and Andru Swann.
Ruth will be fondly remembered for her warmth, love and her spirited personality that she shared with her family and friends.
