Heath Erik Massey, age 40, of Vinemont, Alabama, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. A beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Heath leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those around him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Yelonda Massey; his parents, Sheila M. Massey and Hoyt W. Massey; stepdaughters, Kendra Cummings and Emily Patterson; sons, Ryan Massey and Eli Massey; stepson, Jonathan Pearson; brother, Shane Massey (Nickie); nephew, Colton Massey; and seven cherished grandchildren, all of whom he loved deeply and supported proudly.
Heath was a man who: Loved his family above all else. Always friendly and ready to help his friends. Was actively involved in his community. Gave his time generously to support his kids in everything—archery, football, basketball, and more. He would help anyone in need without hesitation. Was an overall great and amazing man and was truly loved by everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Heath’s presence brought light and strength to every room he entered. His dedication to his family and community will be remembered and celebrated for years to come. He lived with purpose, gave with a full heart, and left this world having made it better.
Heath’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A visitation for Heath will be held Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, 1901 2nd Ave North West, Cullman, AL 35055, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m.
