Hele Bowls to serve up free Thanksgiving plates

CULLMAN, Ala. – This Thanksgiving, local restaurant Hele Bowls will be opening its doors to provide free Thanksgiving plates to anyone in need.

Owner Sarah Morrow said the restaurant will be providing free, gluten-free Thanksgiving plates, which is not its normal menu-style items.

“While it won’t be our usual bowls, each plate will be made with the same care and quality we’re known for,” Morrow said. “I’m doing this to show our community just how much we care. It’s also important to me that my kids experience the joy of helping others and see the impact a warm meal and a friendly smile can have. In our family, we believe that if we love you, you’re family — and to us, that means everyone.”

Meals will be served on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 28, from noon until the food runs out.

Morrow said they will be serving meals starting at noon until the food runs out. The Butcher Shop in Vinemont is donating smoked turkey.

“We hope to make this Thanksgiving a little brighter for those who are in need,” she said. “We truly love supporting and giving back to our community any way that we can.”
