CULLMAN, Ala. – United Way of Cullman County’s Designer Bag Bingo will return Thursday, Nov. 12, at Cotton Creek Venue in Cullman
UWCC Executive Director Tyler Hooper said the evening will kick off with a pre-party at The Goat at Cotton Creek beginning at 4 p.m. Doors to the event venue will open at 5:30.
“Designer Bag Bingo began in 2019 and has grown into one of United Way of Cullman County’s largest and most anticipated annual fundraising events,” Hooper said. “It has become a great way to bring people together for a fun evening while raising funds that stay right here in our community.”
He said Designer Bag Bingo is a fun night out, but there’s a much bigger purpose behind it.
“Funds raised through the event help United Way of Cullman County support 18 local nonprofit partner agencies and programs, including 2-1-1 and Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library,” Hooper explained. “United Way of Cullman County serves more than 70,000 people annually across Cullman and Winston counties through our work in four key areas: healthy communities, youth opportunity, financial security and community resiliency. Events like Designer Bag Bingo help us continue investing in the organizations and programs that are meeting needs and making a difference for people throughout our communities.”
Guests can expect a fun, high-energy evening featuring multiple rounds of bingo with designer handbags as prizes, he said.
“Tommy Warhurst will serve as the emcee, helping keep the evening lively and entertaining,” Hooper shared. “It’s a great opportunity to get a group of friends or coworkers together, enjoy a night out and support a great cause at the same time. We want people to have a lot of fun, but we also hope the event gives them an opportunity to learn more about United Way and the impact their support has throughout Cullman and Winston counties.”
Hooper encouraged anyone planning to attend with a group to purchase their tickets or table early.
