Funeral services for Brian Steven Shirley, 40, of Bremen will be 3 p.m. Sunday September 6th at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow the service at Sandlin Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home.
Mr. Shirley was born September 17, 1985, in Cullman County, Alabama. He passed away September 1, 2026, in Cullman County, Alabama.
Brian Shirley was a loving son, father, brother, family member, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Brian had a personality that could light up any room. He was a big cut-up who loved to joke, laugh, and have a good time. His sense of humor and playful spirit brought smiles and laughter to so many people around him.
Above all, Brian loved his family dearly. They meant the world to him, and he treasured every moment he was able to spend with them. He was the kind of person who would always be there when someone needed him.
Though his time here was not long enough, Brian leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, love, and stories that will be cherished forever. His family and friends will remember his big personality, his good heart, his sense of humor, and most of all, the way he was always there for the people he loved.
Mr. Shirley is survived by his mother, Kathy Profitt (Neal); spouse, Kayla Thomas; children, Kira Shirley, and Bazil Shirley; siblings, Valarie Johnson (Glendal), Shawnua Jennings (Tyler), Lindsey Fritz (Payne), and Hannah Stewart; aunts, Judy Lay (Hudson), and Pearl Pickett; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Shirley was preceded in death by his father, Danny Parsons; grandfather, Marvin “Shorty” Stewart, grandmother, Barbara “Susie” Stewart; uncles, Marvin Stewart, and Randall Stewart.
Serving as pallbearers will be Garrick Wissinger, Roy Stewart, Ben Lay, Jesse Lay, Gabe Lay, Jeremy Stewart, and Kenneth Stewart.
