CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman Bowling Center celebrated 50 years on Saturday, June 20, 2026. The establishment was opened in 1976 and has maintained its reputation as a generational hot spot for all. Current Owners Bill Sandlin and his sons, Corey and Les, took over the business in 1986.

Manager Brian Vance said there were plenty of festivities for anyone in attendance at the anniversary celebration, from cruise-in car shows, inflatables, DJ Justin Pace and prize giveaways.

He reported they gave away a $300 birthday party pack as well as a $100 arcade card.

“We’re also giving away a bunch of free game passes,” Vance said.

In 2019 the center held a grand opening for Valley Tavern and Grille after months of renovation. The venue has food and beverages, but also allows local musicians to have the spotlight – artists like Just In Case, Key Lime Pie, Jesse Priest, just to name a few.

Pace, who is also the lead singer of Just In Case, leads karaoke every Wednesday night. Vance said there’s live music Tuesday-Saturday nights.

While the Tavern is a great addition, the heart of the establishment is the bowling community and the many memories made.

“We run leagues Monday through Thursday,” Vance said. “Then on Saturdays we touch on form.”
