Mr. Melson (Cullman County Animal Shelter)

CULLMAN, Ala. – Mr. Melson may be unassuming at first glance, but this affectionate domestic shorthair has a personality that does not take long to show. He’s The Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week.

He is approximately a year old. He is gentle, funny and fond of good company, making him a strong consideration for anyone looking for a companion or therapy kitty.

Mr. Melson enjoys being near people and has a soft, endearing way of asking for attention. One of his favorite bonding exercises is rolling over for belly rubs, a small gesture that says plenty about his trusting nature. He also very much enjoys his food, which only adds to his charm.

With his easygoing personality, affectionate nature and quiet sense of humor, Mr. Melson could be a good fit for a home looking for a steady feline friend with plenty of warmth to give.

Mr. Melson’s adoption fee is $100, which covers his neuter, vaccinations, microchip, wormer, general exam and monthly flea and tick prevention.

Visit the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 935 Convent Road NE. It’s open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Contact the Cullman County Animal Shelter at 256-734-5448 or cullmananimalshelter@co.cullman.al.us.
