Funeral service for Mary Anita Fleischamel, 78, of Arab will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, April 29th, 2026, at Cullman Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bethsadia Cemetery, Rev. Kevin Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. on Wednesday.

Mary passed away April 25th, 2026, at Arab Diversicare. She was born August 20, 1947, to Emory Williford and Anna Bellefleur Weathersby. She was a writer and was currently writing a novel when she passed. She was a bookkeeper, helped with her husband’s business, played the piano and guitar, and was the church pianist for a good while.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, John MacNeil.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Bill Fleischamel; daughter, Karen Rigsby (Brian); brothers, Jerry Weathersby (Julia), Randy Weathersby (Derinda), David Bellefleur; grandson, Dylan Rigsby; family and friends.
