A Celebration of Life for Margie Nix Girard, age 77, is Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 3 p.m. at Cullman Seventh-Day Adventist Church at 3033 County Road 490, Hanceville, AL 35077.
Margie was born on September 13, 1948, to Virgle and Evelyn Nix. She passed away at her residence on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.
She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Linda Miscovich and Patricia Sutton; brother, Tommy Chris Nix; niece, Angela Nail Silvey; nephews, Nathan Grund, and Stephen Miscovich.
Survivors include loving husband, Leonard Girard; son, Kevin Brown; daughter, Karen Stapler; step-love daughters, Wendy Girard and Jennifer Girard; grandchildren, Brett, Scott, Makena, Noah, Ashton, and Kathlyn; great grandchildren, Olive, Theo, and Lincoln; brothers, David (Jen) Nix, Tim Nix; sisters, Joyce Nail (Danie), Tammy Grund (Tim), and Gypsy Wisinger; nephews, Patrick Grund; nieces, Jessica Carter, Kristy Nail Terry; and a host of wonderful friends that she couldn’t even count.
Margie hoped she would be remembered foremost as a blessed woman that loved the Lord for all He had done for her. She had a passion for sewing, tending her flower and vegetable garden, and playing softball. She later inspired the games of bowling and Wii bowling with her senior friends from The Grove.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
