2025 Ms. Senior Cullman County Angie Carter places 2nd in state competition
CULLMAN, Ala. – She’s the reigning Ms. Senior Cullman, and earlier this month, Angie Carter came in as first runner-up in the Ms. Senior Alabama 2025 Pageant.
Carter competed in the state pageant in Daphne on June 7. Not only did she take second place, she was also named Ms. Congeniality.
“I was very surprised and happy about winning Ms. Congeniality,” Carter said. “To me that was as special as winning the title, but to get first runner-up to my beautiful friend Lori Cox, 2025 Ms. Senior Alabama, was priceless.”
Carter expressed gratitude to her sponsors, supporters and cheerleaders for their kindness throughout her journey.
“The pageant is a lot of fun,” she said. “You meet ladies from all over the state of Alabama. You form a close sisterhood with these ladies. It’s something that every lady should experience when they turn 60. It’s never too late to follow your dreams; we all have a purpose. My message to senior women: A woman should and can be two things, who she wants to be and what she wants to be, regardless of her age.”
Ms. Senior Alabama is a nonprofit senior women’s organization, encouraging senior women that they all have a purpose, offering opportunities to get involved in local communities and providing a sisterhood of support throughout the state.
Delegates volunteer at hundreds of events across the state throughout the year. Some of Carter’s events include numerous local engagements like the Cullman County Senior Health Fair, Senior Day at Cullman Oktoberfest, Senior Day at the Cullman County Fair, Senior Night at the Winter Wonderland at Sportsman Lake, the Cullman County Senior Christmas Party and more.
