A wonderful Father was there at her birth. He watched as a brave young nation struggled to stand on her feet. Her people were faced with over whelming odds against them as they sought their freedom from one of the world’s greatest powers. But her people always looked to the Father for protection and guidance and they prevailed over the obstacles. He was with them during the winter at Valley Forge and during the long hard fight for freedom. He was in the room in Philadelphia as a group of men laid out the hopes and dreams for America and then risked their lives as they signed their names. He was there in the chapel of the little church in New York City, where George Washington, after his inauguration, dedicated America to the Father and asked for His blessings on this new nation.

She was blessed and given great privileges by her Father growing up. But she always knew with that with her great privilege, came responsibility and accountability. She wasn’t perfect, but she always strived to up hold the standards of her Father on which her Constitution was based. Each day, he listened as millions of people prayed in her schools and government buildings for guidance, protection and for wisdom making decisions. Authority was honored in schools, churches and families. Life was precious, people lived and worked together, respecting each other and their differences. People were proud of their country and the principles on which she stood. She was loved and treasured

One day this beautiful nation became restless. She was tired of the restrictions

that come with accountability and responsibility, she wanted her independence and freedom from Him. So, the Father, with great sadness, let her go.· Although, in his heart, he knew that she would face the consequences of privileges (power) without accountability and responsibility. But this is what she wanted.

She loved her independence and she pushed him more and more out of her life. She enjoyed her new freedom, but she was unaware that she was slowly beginning to change. Because there was no accountability to anyone, her people did as they pleased. Her laws and morals changed, authority was challenged, life was unprotected, children

  • rebelled against their parents, dishonestly, greed and selfishness prevailed.

Finally, one day, she found herself broken in many ways and in trouble. No one had an easy answer for how to heal her brokenness. No one but the Father. He waits with open arms for her to come back to him.

This election is one of the most critical in history. Only God knows the road ahead for America, please vote on Tuesday and prayerfully consider the candidates for which you vote.

If My people, who are called by My name, humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
