CULLMAN, Ala. – The United Way of Cullman County is set to host its annual Business Alliance Breakfast at East Side Baptist Church on Thursday morning, Jan. 11, 2024. The meeting is a chance for local business and company owners of any size to enjoy a fresh, hot breakfast while they learn more about what the United Way and its partner agencies do for the community.

United Way Board Chairman Brian Poole believes the Business Alliance is a great avenue for entrepreneurs to bolster their positions in the economy and starts a trend of giving back to the community they serve.

“It shows industry leadership as it engages and inspires our community and sets a standard of giving back!” he exclaimed, noting that every niche of business is welcome to attend and learn more about the needs residents are facing.

“Membership is made up of all different business disciplines, and we’re always looking for more like-minded businesses to join. The cost for each business is only $120 per year. While that doesn’t seem like much, as of today, the local alliance has given back over $7,000 to our community,” Poole explained, saying that as the Alliance moves into another year, he expects that number to grow.

“United Way considers it a blessing to work with all of these businesses and business leaders, and we are very excited as this program moves into its third year!” smiled Poole.

The United Way Business Alliance Breakfast will be held Thursday morning, Jan. 11, 2024, at East Side Baptist Church, beginning at 8 a.m. The United Way asks that interested businesses please RSVP by Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024, by calling the United Way office at 256-739-2948.
