FALKVILLE, Ala. – A trusty (“an inmate granted special privileges as a trustworthy person”) walked off of a jobsite Thursday morning, Dec. 7 in Falkville. Authorities are asking for help from the public to locate him.

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) identified the trusty as Wesley David Aldridge, 36, of Falkville. They said Aldridge was working with the Town of Falkville and walked off a jobsite along Robinson Creek Road.

He was last seen wearing a gray vest, green hoodie, blue jeans and a camo hat. He also has a goatee.

Falkville Mayor Ken Winkles said Aldridge previously escaped while working with Winston County.

“He has been with Falkville for two years and he walked off the job site about 7:10 a.m. this morning,” Winkles said. “I hate that this has happened. I never expected it to.”

According to the MCSO, anyone found to be assisting Aldridge could face felony charges.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Sgt. John Dickson at 256-260-5333 or Morgan County investigators at 256-350-4613.
