Hanceville City Council approves 2024 budget

HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Hanceville City Council held its final September meeting at Hanceville City Hall and after a lengthy review of the city’s proposed budget at its last meeting, the council approved the budget for the 2024 fiscal year Thursday night. The final approved amount in the budget was $6,279,525.97.

In addition to approving the budget, the council also approved the following new business items,

  • Approved the closing of roads around Hanceville High School’s Ray Talley Stadium on Sat. Oct. 28 for this year’s Mud Creek Marching Festival
  • Approved the closing of a portion of Commercial Street and Bulldog Lane for Hanceville High School’s Homecoming Parade from 1 – 2 p.m. Fri. Sept. 29.

The Hanceville City Council will hold its next regularly scheduled meeting at Hanceville City Hall Thursday, Oct. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
