CULLMAN, Ala. – City of Cullman Sanitation customers will get a hand with spring cleaning the week of March 20-24. Spring Cleanup week allows customers to place things such as appliances, furniture, mattresses and other large items curbside for the sanitation department to dispose of for no additional charge.
To participate, city residents are asked to put their bulky items at the curb on their regular sanitation pick-up days by no later than 6 a.m.
Certain items are not eligible for the Spring Cleanup. Those include rocks, bricks, concrete and other construction products, hazardous items including motor oil, tires, paint and pesticides and landscaping materials such as dirt and crossties.
It should be noted that brush pickup will not occur during Spring Cleanup week as all sanitation crews will be assisting with the cleanup. Sanitation customers are asked to not put tree limbs, yard debris or brush at the roadside March 20-24.
