2022 Independence Day fun planned for Cullman and surrounding areas

CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. – To celebrate Independence Day, there’s no shortage of local family friendly, festive events coming up in Cullman County and surrounding areas.

Smith Lake Park Fireworks and Music Festival

The Smith Lake Park Festival will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. on July 4. Admission is free to the 50th annual event. Families can play putt-putt golf, visit the beach area and watch the famous golf cart parade. The swimming pool will be open, and kayaks, canoes and paddle boards will be available for rent. It’s a day full of arts and crafts, food, live music and more.

Lynn Annual Fireworks Show

The town of Lynn will host their fireworks show on Friday, July 1 at 9:00 p.m. at the Lynn City Ball Park on County Road 59. The event will start as early as 4:00 p.m. with lots of free kids’ activities including a 24-ft water slide and two bounce houses with water slides for smaller children. Admission is free to all.

Faith, Family, Freedom Fireworks Extravaganza

The 4th annual event sponsored by Branded by Christ Cowboy Church and the City of Good Hope will start at 7:30 p.m. on July 3 with a horse parade at the Good Hope Ball fields and fireworks to follow at dark. Admission is free.

21st Annual Freedom Celebration

Fairview’s annual 4th of July celebration will take place Sunday, July 3rd at Fairview community Park. Event will kick off at 8:00 p.m. with “worship in song and in the Word” and the fireworks show beginning at 9:00 p.m. There will be free concessions available.

Addison Fourth of July Celebration

The annual celebration and music festival will be on Monday, July 4 at Alexander Park with a parade starting at 10:00 a.m. and the music show starting at 5:00 p.m. Sipsey Falls will be the headliner band. The fireworks show will start after dark at 9:00 p.m. Admission is free.

Vinemont Baptist Church

Vinemont Baptist Church will host a Fourth of July event with fireworks at the Vinemont Community Center on Sunday, July 3, with Fro’z Shaved Ice, free hotdogs, chips and drinks. The event is from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Lake Guntersville Fireworks Show

The City of Guntersville will host their annual fireworks display on July 4 at 9:00 p.m. The fireworks will be show near Civitan Park. The Mountain Valley Arts Council will host Soul Survivor at the Civitan Park stage at 6:30 p.m.
