CULLMAN, Ala. – The 2nd Annual Doggy Pawgeant is one of the many events to take place the day of the Strawberry Festival, with a start time of 1:00 p.m. It will be right after the baking competition on the mini-stage located right in front of the main stage. Dog owners can dress their dogs up in costumes and let them show off their personality. There are no dog restrictions, but pets will need to be on a leash at all times. Dog owners take full responsibility for any incidents and pets must be cleaned up after throughout the festival grounds.

An “after paw-ty” will take place after the pawgeant by the gazebo. Local pet specialty exhibitors will be set-up and ready to see the participating pups. Marketing and PR Director Leah Waldrop said, “We take pride in our festivals being well-rounded events that appeal to the entire family—including our four-legged family members! There will be first, second and third place prizes. First place will receive a trophy, a medal and a cake from Milly’s Bakery. Second and third place will receive a medal and a treat bag from Milly’s Bakery. We will also share the winning pups to our social media channels!”

Waldrop added, “Thank you to our sponsors for helping make this a fun event for our furry friends! It’s just one more thing that makes the Cullman Strawberry Festival unique and exciting for everyone!”
