Funeral services for Anthony “Tony” Nathan Self of Hanceville will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 9 at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Shelton Grove Cemetery. The family will welcome guests for a visitation on Thursday prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Self was born on January 4, 1986 in Cullman, Alabama. He died at the age of 35 on December 2, 2021 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Survivors include his father: Lowell Self; mother: Diahn Peterson; wife: Jamatha Jones-Self; children: Brooklyn Self and Jordan Bentley; grandson: Ryker Bentley; grandmother: Edna Sue Cagle; siblings: Miranda Pullium, Andrew Hines, Cody Self, Jenn Mathers and Amanda Mathers and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and first cousins.
Mr. Self was preceded in death by three grandparents: Herndon Self, John Edward Peterson and Shirley Ann Peterson.
