Cullman City Schools Sept. 28 COVID-19 case update

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman City Schools system has a total of 13 students currently absent due to reported positive cases of COVID-19 as of Tuesday, September 28, according to the latest school attendance data.

East Elementary School reported four positive student cases, West Elementary School reported three positive cases, City Primary School reported three positive cases, Cullman Middle School reported two positive cases and Cullman High School reported one positive case.

Absences due to quarantining after exposure to a positive case of COVID-19: Cullman Middle School reported 22 absences, Cullman High School reported 17 absences, Cullman City Primary School reported 11 absences, East Elementary School reported eight absences and West Elementary School reported six absences.

Per protocol, students who are a close contact to someone with a positive case of COVID-19 will not need to quarantine if they have no symptoms and are vaccinated, have no symptoms and tested positive in the prior three months or have no symptoms and were correctly wearing a mask.

Cullman City Schools has a total enrollment of 3,218 students.
