CATA Cosmetology students earn College Readiness Indicator certificates

CULLMAN, Ala. – Cosmetology students Diana Arroyo, D.J. Dubick, Fiayla Herc, Elyse Koloski and Yulissa Velazquez at the Cullman Area Technology Academy recently earned College Readiness Indicator certificates in Customer Service and Sales.  

According to CATA, “This CRI is perfect for students who are interested in or currently working in customer facing roles, whether in retail or another industry. These students mastered these skills. Students also gained workplace skills that included problem-solving, working in teams and reading customer body language. These students also will be attending Wallace State Community College Cosmetology Department through articulated credit.” 

CATA Cosmetology teacher Tasha Flanigan said that she was, “So proud of these students; can’t wait to see what the future holds for them. Sky’s the limit in this profession!”
