WELTI, Ala. – Welti Elementary School’s Preston Cook was selected to receive a $500 scholarship this week following his participation in the National Archery in Schools Program National Virtual Archery Tournament.
Of 15,683 archers who participated in the virtual shoot, 100 were randomly selected for the scholarships that will be available for their use in post-secondary education. Six of those participants came from the state of Alabama and Preston Cook was selected from Welti.
