CULLMAN, Ala. – Cullman Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism (CPRST) announced that its 7–12-year-old girls’ volleyball league, slated to play in May and June, has rescheduled the season to August through October, and extended registration into June in hopes of encouraging more players to return to CPRST team sports after last year’s COVID-related league cancellations.
CPRST athletic director Ashley Dye wrote, “We are excited to announce that volleyball is back! I am hopeful that extending registration through June 18 and moving the season back will give everyone more of an opportunity to play. We are transitioning back to a late spring/fall season. I can’t wait to see all of our girls and get this season going. The CPRST Athletics department has been working diligently to improve and streamline programs; we are growing, and it is an exciting thing to see!”
Youth volleyball league is open to girls ages 7-12; teams will be assigned at evaluations which will be held on June 28-29 at Cullman Wellness and Aquatic Center and or the Active Adult Center. (Time and place will be emailed after the closing of registration.)
Practices will be held from August 2-August 27 on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays starting at 5:30 p.m. Teams will practice twice per week. Your child will not practice every one of these days of the week. We will rotate the schedule.
Games will be from August 31-October 21, and will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on Fridays and Saturdays if needed. Register online at www.cullmanrecreation.org.
