Obituary: Bobbie Nell Murray

Bobbie Nell Murray, 78, of Double Springs, Alabama entered into rest on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital Emergency Room.

Mrs. Murray was born on April 22, 1942 in Alabama. Bobbie was an employee of 20 years at Drummond Coal Company where she worked in many different positions. After leaving Drummond, Mrs. Murray went back to school to become an operating room technician. Mrs. Bobbie absolutely loved working in the operating room and worked there until she retired.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Double Springs. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. in Pinetucky Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Double Springs, Alabama, where burial will follow. Damon Williamson will be officiating.

Bobbie is survived by her daughters, Vanda (Tony) Aaron and Donna (Bobby) Harris; a sister, Janice (Robert) Poppenhusen; grandchildren, Damon (Stephanie) Williamson, Devin (Rob) Coble, Courtney Hamby, Clint (Rusti) Harris, and Emily (Seth) Cheatham; great grandchildren, Dakota Morris, Brayden Williamson, Blaine Coble, Canaan Williamson, Trent Marks, Colden Mertens, Avery Hamby, Ansley Hamby, Daryl Coble, Bobby Coble, Patricia Miles, Kruz Cheatham, Kannen Cheatham, Hunter Ellis, and Cade Harris; great great grandchildren, Cooper Miles, Rosie Miles, and  Nate Miles; honorary grandsons, Eli Dempsey, Hunter Sutherland, Jessie Todd, and Rhett Guthrie; and very special friend, Rebecca Guthrie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur W. “Bill” Murray; son, Robert Charles “Bubba” Davis; parents, Charles H. and Lonella Christine Jones; and sister, Peggye Alexander.
