CULLMAN, Ala. – The Cullman County Animal Shelter’s Donna Ruttkay reported that The Cullman Tribune’s last Pet of the Week, Apples, was quickly adopted! But the shelter still has lots of love to share, so she shares a bonus Cullman Tribune Pet of the Week:
Silver Bells is a 1-year-old pup who’s a “mix of everything fine!” She’s a lively medium- to high-energy pet who’s great on her leash and is developing good spatial awareness and social skills. She is using her stores of energy learning how to wear a backpack and carry water for her people. Staffers have found that, with a little human encouragement, she enjoys taking on new challenges.
Silver Bells has the makings of a great hiking, companion or therapy dog.
Silver Bells’ adoption fee is $100 which includes DHLPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccines, rabies vaccine, wormer, general exam at the vet, spaying, microchip, free 30-day health insurance policy issued by 24PetWatch (with valid email only) and a free bag of food from Cullman Pet Depot (you must pay sales tax).
Animal shelter staff and volunteers work with their dogs to make sure they are accustomed to being around people, walking on a leash and practicing good behavior. Several of the shelter’s canine friends have even been “hired” to work as therapy and special needs service dogs.
Please consider adopting, to give a rescued pet a chance at a happy and healthy life.
