YOUTH FOOTBALL: Cyclones take Pee-Wee, Fireplug championships, Vinemont wins Wee-Wee title

CULLMAN, Ala. – Saturday marked the end of the 2020 Cullman County Youth Football season and what a way to end it. Six games were on slate for today, including a trio of championship games that had everyone on the edge of their seats. In the end, three teams were crowned champions and three teams finished in third place. The Pee-Wee games saw Cold Springs edge out the Raiders for third place while the Cyclones shut out West Point to win back-to-back titles. The Fireplug games featured a Raiders shut out over Vinemont to clinch third place while the Cyclones also made it back-to-back Fireplug championships with a win over the Bearcats. In Saturday’s Wee-Wee games, the Raiders rolled past the Outlaws for third place and Vinemont edged out the Cyclones in a thrilling contest to claim the county championship.

Pee-Wee Matchups:

Third place game: Cold Springs 8 – Raiders 6

Championship Game: Cyclones 16 – Warriors 0

Fireplug Matchups:

Third place game: Raiders 14 – Vinemont 0

Championship Game: Cyclones 34 – Bearcats 24 

Wee-Wee Matchups:

Third place game: Raiders 34 – Outlaws 8 

Championship Game: Vinemont 20 – Cyclones 12
