ALDOT:  U.S. 278 bridge at St. Bernard down to 1 lane June 9-12

CULLMAN, Ala. – The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) on Thursday announced statewide bridge crews will be repairing the U.S. Highway 278 bridge over Eightmile Creek, between Cliff Road and St. Bernard Drive, in Cullman June 9-12, weather-permitting.

One lane of the bridge will be closed from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, June 9 through Friday, June 12.

ALDOT said alternating eastbound and westbound traffic will be controlled by flaggers. It advised motorists to expect delays and plan additional travel time or consider using alternate routes.

“Please drive with caution in the work zone. Reduce speed and be prepared to stop.”
