CULLMAN, Ala. – A Danville man was arrested in Cullman Tuesday after leading deputies from the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) on a short pursuit.

Thomas James Brannon, 33, was driving a motorcycle and turned onto County Road 1301 when deputies observed him in violation of an Alabama traffic code, according to a media release from the CCSO.

The deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop by initiating blue lights and siren, said the release, but Brannon fled.

After a short pursuit the suspect gave up without incident on Alabama Highway 157. Sheriff Matt Gentry said there were no injuries.

Brannon is charged with attempting to elude, brass knuckles, reckless driving, reckless endangerment and running a stop sign.
