Variety of classes offered through Wallace State Community Education and Continuing Education

HANCEVILLE, Ala. – The Wallace State Community College Continuing Education and Community Education programs offered through the Career & Workforce Development office are gearing up for a full slate of classes for Spring 2020. From gardening to cake decorating, computer basics to conversational Spanish, and small engine repair to a beef production, there’s a little bit of something for everyone.

Courses offered range from one-time classes to multiple classes offered over several weeks. Some classes are offered as general interest, while others are offered for certification purposes.

Anyone interested in gardening or plant maintenance have a number of options, including Gardening Basics, Vegetable Gardening, Structural Pruning and Training of Young Trees, Proper Planting Using ANSI Standards, Setting of Landscape Plants Certification Prep, and Commercial Pesticide Application Certification Prep.

Computer related courses include Excel Basics, Excel Beyond the Basics, Excel Advanced, Introduction to Graphics, Designing Logos, and Basic Computer Skills.

Language courses include Conversational Spanish and Conversational Spanish for the Construction Industry.

Other courses offered include T-Tap Exercise, Cake Decorating, Outdoor Power Equipment Repair and Beef Production Seminar.

Pending courses for Spring 2020 include Weight Training, CPR, Photography and Genealogy.

The Training for Business and Industry program is also offering a number of options for the Spring, including Phlebotomy, Certified Production Technician, Certified Logistics Technician, Commercial Driver’s License, ServSafe Test Prep and Certification, Heavy Equipment Operation and Agriculture Training.
