The Tribune asked people who were out and about Wednesday: What are you thankful for this year? Here’s what we heard.

“I am thankful for my family. My wife and I live on the same street as my parents and brother and sister. This past year has been a super hard year, so just being thankful to have close family right by us for support. Just finding joy in relationships.”

“I am most thankful for Christmas time. I really like Christmas. It’s family time and I love that!”

“I am most thankful for Jesus and my family.”

“I am most thankful for the health and well-being of my family.”

“I am most thankful for the freedoms we have in this country to move around like we want to do. Also, health and happiness.”

“I am most thankful for Jesus.”

“I am thankful for my baby brothers (twins).”

“I am thankful for this one (Kailo) and this one in my belly because we didn’t think this would happen.”

“I am thankful for my family. I am thankful for family AND food!”

“I am most thankful to have a family that loves me and I can be able to spend time with them.”

“I am thankful to be able to spend the holidays with my family in Cullman. I travel with my husband for his job and I am thankful that we are able to come back home and spend it with our family and our closest friends. I am happy that our kids are healthy, and being in Cullman is just so festive! There’s just something about this town. It feels like home.”

“I am thankful for my mother and I’m thankful for all of my teachers at Wallace State Community College for helping me get into Auburn University. I’ll be starting Auburn in June. War Eagle!”
