Three Days Grace brought its Alienation Tour to The Orion Amphitheater Friday, Oct. 30, with supporting performances by The Funeral Portrait and I Prevail.
Original vocalist Adam Gontier shared the stage with fellow lead singer Matt Walst, revisiting a connection to Huntsville. In April 2023, Gontier surprised fans by joining his former bandmates for the final two songs of their set at the Von Braun Center. He officially returned to the band in 2024, with Walst continuing as a lead vocalist.
The Funeral Portrait opened the evening with theatrical staging and crowd interaction. I Prevail followed with a set blending metalcore and aggressive vocals, drawing headbanging fans and several crowd surfers.
Three Days Grace mixed familiar hits with newer material and shifted to acoustic arrangements for part of its performance. During that portion of the show, the band reflected on its early days playing music together around a campfire.
