WEST POINT, Ala. – After winning in dramatic fashion on the road against Dora last week, the Warriors returned home Friday night to take on Corner. Unfortunately for West Point fans in the home stands, the Yellow Jackets scored early and often in this one and handed the Warriors a 35-7 loss.

Corner jumped ahead 7-0 midway through the first quarter and stretched the lead to 13-0 just before the start of the second. The Yellow Jackets made it 21-0 with just under nine minutes to play in the second quarter and stretched that lead to 28-0 just one minute later.

West Point found the end zone late in the second quarter to make it a 28-7 game at the half, but Corner got those points back midway through the third, going up 35-7 and keeping the Warriors off the scoreboard the rest of the way.

The loss drops West Point to 3-5 on the season with the final regional matchup against Hayden coming up next week.
