Mr. and Mrs. Walter Murphree, Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Murphree, Miss Eulala Murphree and Bertis Cagle, of Cullman, were the Sunday afternoon visitors of Charles Nichols and family.

Miss Peggy and little Harvey Funderburk, of Birmingham, were the weekend visitors of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. L.H. Merrell.

Miss Margaret Ann Ryan and her roommate, Jane Calvin, of Huntingdon College, in Montgomery spent the weekend with Margaret Ann’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Truman Ryan.

Mr. and Mrs. Cephus Turner and Mrs. Willie Mooney were the Sunday visitors of Mr. Turner’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Turner, of Gadsden.

Mrs. Ann Puckett, of Massey, visited Mrs. E.B. Puryear one day last week.

Mrs. Eunice Teague was the weekend visitor of her brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Oden, of Huntsville and also visited another brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Oden and little daughter.

Mr. and Mrs. Lana Livingston and daughter, Emilie, of Birmingham, were the weekend visitors of friends and relatives.

Dormal Campbell is in Jefferson Hillman Hospital, after undergoing a serious operation. He has two blood clots on the brain, but is improving fine.

Dutis Willoughby has purchased a new car.

Mrs. J.C. Burns and Viva Nell, of Fairfield, have been visiting Millard Harbison and family and her sister, Mrs. Emily Willoughby and Shirley.

Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Taylor and Janice, of Birmingham, spent the weekend with relatives here.

Mrs. Meadie Salters is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Earline Jones, in Birmingham, this week.

Virgil Williams, who is working in Anniston, spent the weekend at home with his family.

Misses Joanna Burrow and Ruth Harbison were the Sunday dinner guests of Belva Sue and Eva Nell Harbison.

Mr. and Mrs. Alton Perdue spent Saturday night with Mr. and Mrs. Junior Robinson, at Decatur.

Mrs. Velma Maze is suffering with a sore foot, in which she stuck a nail last week.

Grover Plunkett is ill in the Guntersville Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Cinewy Carey, of Detroit, Michigan, spent last week here with Myrtle Noles and Mr. and Mrs. George Carey.

Mrs. Birtie Preston has returned from the Guntersville Hospital, where she underwent an operation. She is doing nicely.

Ed Williams is in Cullman Hospital, with a broken leg. His condition is serious.

Mr. and Mrs. C.C. Harbison spent Sunday with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Hoyt Florence, Teresa, Pamela and Karen in Decatur.

Mr. and Mrs. J.M. Lay spent a few days last week with their daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Trimble, Caroline and Nancy, in Memphis, Tennessee.

Miss Linda Campbell, of Birmingham, spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Astor Campbell and brother, Ronald.

Mr. and Mrs. Travis Reynolds, Fred Magalene and baby, of Huntsville, spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Gertis Vest and Jimmie, Mrs. Emma Williams and Mrs. Ruth Vest.
