Funeral Services for Pat Bailey Hesterley, of Cullman, will be at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, at Fairview Methodist Church, Richard Saylor officiating, with burial in the church cemetery. There will be a viewing the day before on Jan. 23 at Cullman Heritage Funeral Home from 6:30-8 p.m.
Mrs. Hesterley died Saturday night on Jan. 19 at Cullman Regional Medical Center. She was born on Aug. 14, 1930, to Chiquita and James Curtis Sr. Bailey. She was an active member of Fairview Methodist Church and was a secretary at Walker`s Discount Building Supply for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.D. Hesterley, Jr.; three sisters, Elsie Holcomb, Montee Holcomb, and Sara Beth Bailey; and her brother, Jake Bailey.
Survivors include her son, Reggie Hesterley; three daughters, Shelia (Mike) Walker, Anna Hesterley Brock, Rena (Jim) DeCosta; brother, Darrell Bailey; four grandchildren, Misty (Jeremy) Carter, Rusty (Nell) Walker, Brandi (Brian) Steorts, Jody DeCosta; nine great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations be made to her longtime passion, the ladies group at Fairview Methodist Church.
