CULLMAN – The second annual Makers Market is coming to Cullman’s Festhalle this Saturday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m.. Event founder Elizabeth McDowell calls it “the last-minute procrastination market.” With no other craft shows or football this weekend, it’s a great weekend to get out and find some special gifts for everyone on your list.

The Makers Market features all local vendors and makes sure all the products are handmade.

McDowell said, “I want to bring more unique artists to Cullman while scouting all the talent here in Cullman. Cullman is so great. We have a small-town feel with big time amenities. As a former vendor, I really want our vendors to have a great show. I want the people coming to shop to have a great time and for our vendors to feel and know they are supported.”

There are 27 vendors registered with a broad range of talent.

Vendors and items include stained-glass and blown-glass items, custom wood burning on site and screen printing also done on site. Brickyard Meats will have jerky, sausages and other stocking stuffers. Cullman’s Bear and Nugget will have fun interactive gifts for kids including Indoor Snowball Fight Kits.

The Jeffrey Chocolate Co. will be selling some amazing goodies.

Said McDowell, “Jeffrey Chocolate is a true chocolatier. He doesn’t just re-melt chocolate, no! He starts with the beans and roasts them and actually makes his own chocolate.”

The “best Santa in town” will be taking pictures Saturday with a festive backdrop and photos by Jennifer Myer Photography. A variety of photo packages will be available for purchase.

A percentage of the booth fees will benefit the First Lego Robotics League of Cullman to help fund the program for the coming year. For more info, visit
