Cullman Pilot Club Annual Rummage Sale

Saturday, Oct. 21, 7 a.m.- 2 p.m.

Cullman County Fairgrounds

Donated Items from more than 50 households. Proceeds benefit the Pilot Light Home for abused neglected children, Brain Safety & Protection Education, Developmentally Disabled Projects – Project Lifesaver, Field of Miracles, Margaret Jean Jones Center, Alzheimer's Support Group, and Statewide Camps for Special Needs and Traumatic Brain Injury.

Mud Creek Arts & Crafts Festival

Saturday, Oct. 21, 8 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Downtown Hanceville

The eighth annual Mud Creek Arts & Crafts Festival is Saturday, Oct. 21 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. in downtown Hanceville. Admission if free.

There will be arts and crafts for sale as well as musical entertainment, a walking tour of Hanceville's historic building, riding tours on Hanceville's first fire truck, kids' activities and the annual German lunch at Trinity Lutheran Church at 10:30 a.m.

All proceeds from the festival will benefit Hanceville schools.


Peinhardt Farm Day

Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Peinhardt Living History Farm, 1711 Talley Ho St., Cullman

For more than 20 years, the Peinhardt family and numerous volunteers have opened the old homestead farm to the public for a day of education, entertainment and general fun for all people and all the senses.

Admission is $7 for ages 13 and up, $5 ages 5-12, and free for children 4 and younger.


Alabama Gourd Festival

Saturday, Oct. 21, 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Sunday, Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Cullman Civic Center

Come see the beautiful original pieces of gourd art. Learn how artists achieve their special techniques with the many FREE demonstrations throughout the weekend. Bring the kids by the FREE kids patch booth where they can decorate their own little gourd and take it home with them. You won't want to miss the exhibition room where each of our gourd artists and growers has entered a juried competition. Shop the arts and crafts show, take a class, and maybe even find a new hobby!

Admission: $3; kids 12 and  younger free with adult

One Grace, Many Gifts: Commemorating the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation

Saturday, Oct. 21, 9:30 a.m.- 3 p.m.

Benedictine Sisters Retreat Center, 916 Convent Road NE, Cullman

October 2017 marks the 500th anniversary of the event that is widely considered to be the beginning of what came to be known as the Protestant Reformation — Martin Luther's posting of his 95 theses. Five centuries later, we invite Protestants, Catholics, and all people of good will to our Retreat Center to commemorate this anniversary.


Dixie Diesel Brotherhood Benefit Truck Car Bike Show

Saturday, Oct. 21, 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Shorty Ryan Park, 3824 Eva Road, Eva

We at Dixie Diesel are hosting an open car, truck, bike show for a local elderly man from the town of Eva. All are welcome to come out and show support. Entry fee is $10; all proceeds go to the family to help in these financially troubling times.

Haunted Trails of Terror

Haunted house, trail and the haunted hay ride! Hot dogs, drinks and chips are available while you wait and a scary movie will be playing outside on the projector.

Karma in Cullman Presents: Dinner with the Dead 2017

Dinner with the Dead is Karma in Cullman's Christmas Assistance fundraising event.
