The next two drives for Addison and Decatur Heritage resulted in punts. Then Addison got the ball, driving only 2 yards before Borden fumbled, allowing Eagles lineman Garrett Rogers to recover.

The Eagles gave the ball to running back Keith for a 5-yard rush and a 26-yard touchdown run with 4:22 left in the half. The score was 10-7 with Addison ahead.
