CULLMAN – The Bloomin’ Festival Arts & Crafts Fair is one of the most popular events in not only Cullman, but throughout the southeast. The festival has consistently gained attention and notoriety through several local and regional outlets. The festival has received the honor of again being recognized by the Southeastern Tourism Society as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast, a feat that is impressive on its own.

“The festival is off to an incredible start this year,” said Joyce Nix, festival director. “Almost all booths were filled before the end of 2014. Not only do we have a wide variety of exhibitors, the quality of their work is exceptional.”

Locals and visitors travel from all around to attend this unique festival held on the grounds of the gorgeous St. Bernard Abbey. With an attendance of around 25,000 people at the festival last year alone, the numbers continue to increase as visitors and vendors hear of this great once a year experience.

“The Bloomin’ Festival has consistently been recognized as one of the top tourism events in the southeast. From the welcoming atmosphere to the visitors who come from far and wide to purchase items, we are proud to offer this attraction to the Cullman area,” said Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Tourism Director Cecelia Smith.

From pottery and apparel to paintings and jewelry, the Bloomin’ Festival offers a plethora of goods available for purchase. Not to mention delicious bread baked by the monks and lots of yummy food options. It’s no wonder this festival has made its mark on the area, not only locally and regionally, but has become quite the tourist destination to attend.

“It is a family friendly event that draws visitors from all over. It always pulls in a record attendance and everyone loves the Bloomin’ Festival,” Smith concluded.

The 31st Annual Bloomin' Festival will be held April 18-19 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.; rain or shine. For more information visit BloominFestival.com or call 256-739-6682.
