OBITUARY: Dean Maynor

Funeral services for Dean Maynor, 74, of Garden City will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 7 p.m. at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel; Brad McDonald officiating;. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Hanceville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Maynor entered into rest on Sunday, January 25, 2015 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a dairy farmer. He enjoyed being outdoors repairing small engines, etc.; when he wasn’t fishing. He cared for and helped anyone- family, friends, customers or strangers; as long as they tried to help themselves. He was loved, respected, befriended and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents, Nolen and Dora Maynor; brother, Gerald and son-in-law, K.C. Weaver.

He is survived by his children, Pat (Stuart) Barrett, Keith (Jackie) Maynor and Arlene Maynor; his children when he married Mary, Nancy Baird, Jeff (Debra) Baird, Gary Baird, Lou Weaver, Steve Baird and Ann (Steve Welch) Rutkowski; brother, Benny (Sybil) Maynor; sister-in-law, Sarah Maynor; nineteen grandchildren; thirty-one great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; his children’s mother, Margie Self; special friend, Dorthy King and a host of extended family.
