OBITUARY: Lila Andrews

Lila Andrews, 84, of Cullman passed away peacefully on January 2, 2015. A devoted mother and grandmother, she is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wallace “Mick” Andrews; her parents, Charlie and Nora Burney; brothers, Noah Lenard (Ruth) Burney, Hubert (Mildred) Burney, Clifford (Virginia) Burney, Leon (Kitty) Burney ad Ossie (Ethel) Burney; sisters, Odell (Milford) Pannell, Burley (Glin) McDowell and Jeanne (Bobby) O’Rear.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Charles) Morrison, Cindy (James) Pinyan and Mark (Kathryn) Andrews; grandchildren, Will, Ben and Caroline Andrews; brothers, C.J. (Agnes, deceased) Burney and Joe (Ann, deceased) Burney; sisters, Loxcil (Gerald) Tuck, Nell (Bob) Sellers, and Jayne (James) Henry; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Cullman First United Methodist Church, with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m., the Reverend Mitchell Williams officiating. Interment will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville.

Cullman Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Morningside Assisted Living and to SouthernCare Hospice for their loving care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the First United Methodist Church music programs.
