CULLMAN – The Cullman Bearcats (5-5) had an explosive victory over the Russellville Tigers (8-2) after a series of losses for the Bearcats. No matter how hard Russellville’s offense tried to move the ball down the field and their defense tried to contain the Bearcat’s offense, Cullman’s outstanding performance could not be trampled by the Tigers.

Cullman scored early in the first quarter of the game, following through with a risky fake punt. The Bearcats accepted the long snap and faked one way, completely tricking the Tiger’s defense, while freshman Carson Freeman snuck out on the backside, giving him the advantage of running  a 58-yard touchdown to give his team an early 6-0 lead.

Fletcher Jennings and Will Crenshaw ranked up on points with two touchdowns between the unstoppable duo, and Brontae Harris ran the ball in, after receiving the snap, to also add points to the Bearcats outstanding final score of 28-0.

The Bearcats defense astounded the crowd with their four turnovers, two of which were completed by senior Connor Moon.

Cullman showed no mercy towards Russeville with their effortless win against the Tigers. The seniors of Cullman will surely never forget the night of their final game when they utterly shut out Russellville and won the last game of their high school football career.
