    Obituary: Stella Mae Schaffer

      Stella Mae Schaffer, 91, died in the comfort of the home her husband built her in Summerfield, FL Saturday, June 15, 2019.

      Stella was born in Cullman, AL in 1928 to Delton Lawrence and Nina Lawrence.

      Better known as “Granny,” Stella leaves behind her loving husband of 71 years, Martin Adolph Schaffer; two children, Charlotte (Steven) Hering and Martin “Leroy”(Connie) Schaffer; one sister, Peggy McDonald; grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Delton and Nina Lawrence, a brother Wayne Lawrence and five sisters, Wynelle Lawrence, Maebelle Barfield, Ellen Dean Brock Harbin, Mary Lee Walker and Gertrude Waddle.

      Graveside service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Cullman, AL Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11 a.m.
